Hindmarsh Brewery

We are located in the historic premises of the old Hindmarsh Brewery at 15 Richard Street Hindmarsh.

The Brewery was established in 1859 by well known brewer Mr. E.J. F. Crawford before being taken over and operated by Messrs Haussen and Catchlove amongst others, and was last known as Haussen & Co Hindmarsh Brewery.

It was one of the oldest breweries in Australia, and produced quality beers until 1927. The building features a network of tunnels that used to run in many directions from the central cellar, including one that is mooted to have run to the bank of the River Torrens.
