BOUQUET Mint, menthol and blackcurrant all wrapped up in fancy pants subtle French oak ooh la la! The use of first and second fill sexy French oak barrels may make the bean counters cringe but pays dividends in the glass.
PALATE Soft, fleshy and full with embracing lingering tannins this is a wine of weight and substance but with balance as its middle name. Classic Clare Valley Cabernet at its best - very early hints of WOW reflect just how good the 2018 vintage was. Consider flavours of Christmas cake, cassia bark and soft voluptuous berries melded with subtle hint of cedar from high end oak. A wine that is in its infancy but will develop amazing secondary characters.
