AWARDS

93 pts (James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion)

92 pts (Gabrielle Poy, The Real Review)

Aromatically layered where intense aromas of freshly picked winter hedgerow blackberries sit alongside notes of dark plums and blueberries, glimpses of freshly scraped vanilla pods and a crunchy red apple lift to finish. On the palate the same fruit and vanilla profile seen on the nose remains present again where it is now joined by more savoury flavours of boot polish and a mineral ferrous quality often seen in previous vintages of this wine. A very resolved tannin frame ensures a genuine sense of balance and restraint is very evident as the wine travels through the mouth and hints at the impact the elevation of the vineyard site has on the resulting wine.
